Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Taskoo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Taskoo is a web-based student productivity platform providing deadline tracking, calendar integration, grade management, focus tools, and AI-powered features.
Taskoo offers a free plan with core features and a Premium plan ($6.99/month or $49.99/year) with unlimited access and AI features.
The service is provided as-is and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time with reasonable notice.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Notify us immediately at team@taskoo.ca if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

You agree not to use Taskoo to store, transmit, or distribute harmful, illegal, or offensive content.
You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service or its underlying infrastructure.
Automated use of AI features for commercial purposes or resale is prohibited.
You may not use Taskoo to violate any applicable laws or regulations.
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

AI features (Chat, Syllabus Import, Study Plan) are available on the Premium plan.
AI responses are generated automatically and may not always be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific situation.
Do not rely on AI responses for critical academic, medical, legal, or financial decisions.
Always verify AI-generated content with authoritative sources and your institution.
We are not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

Premium subscriptions are billed monthly ($6.99) or annually ($49.99) via Stripe.
Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Settings > Billing.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain Premium access until then.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.
Price changes will be communicated with at least 30 days notice before affecting your subscription.

The Taskoo name, logo, design, and application code are owned by Taskoo and protected by copyright.
You retain full ownership of the data you input (tasks, deadlines, notes, grades).
You grant Taskoo a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your data solely to provide the service.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Taskoo platform without written permission.

We aim to keep Taskoo available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
We perform maintenance that may temporarily affect availability. We will try to schedule this during off-peak hours.
We are not liable for data loss resulting from outages, bugs, or service discontinuation.
We recommend regularly reviewing your important data within the app.

Taskoo is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, secure, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.
We do not warrant the accuracy of AI-generated content or any third-party data.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Taskoo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
This includes loss of data, loss of revenue, or academic consequences arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings > Danger Zone. All your data is permanently deleted.
Upon termination, your right to access the service ceases immediately. Prepaid Premium time is non-refundable unless required by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
